KONTRIBUSI OBJEK WISATA BUKIT MONCONGOS DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENDAPATAN MASYARAKAT

Abstract

The tourism sector has developed into one of the leading sectors contributing to economic growth, especially in rural areas. The existence of tourist attractions is expected to create business opportunities and job openings for the surrounding community. One of the emerging tourist destinations is Bukit Moncongos. This study aims to describe the contribution of the Bukit Moncongos tourist attraction in increasing the income of the local community. The research was conducted in Sukaimut Village, Garawangi District, Kuningan Regency. The sampling technique used in this research is the census method. The data analysis technique employed is descriptive quantitative analysis, which is used to organize numerical data, calculate average income, and determine the percentage of contribution based on types of work. The results of the study show that the Bukit Moncongos tourism sector contributes to increasing community income, although the income earned is still relatively low and depends on the number of visitors. The average monthly income of community members involved in the tourism sector is Rp. 668,750, with the highest income earned from food stall businesses and the lowest from parking attendants. The existence of this tourism sector provides benefits to local residents who previously did not have stable jobs by offering opportunities to earn additional income.
