Tundagan Village Forest, which is identified as a habitat for various types of birds, is an important habitat that must be preserved. One effort to preserve birds is to know the diversity and conservation efforts that have been made. This study uses a exploration method with identification based on a list of mackinon birds which are analyzed using the diversity index method, evenness index, dominance index and one way anova 3-group difference test. Based on the results of observations, the overall diversity index value in Tundagan Village Forest based on 3 land covers is included in the moderate category with evenness approaching even in natural forests and pine forests and uneven in community gardens. The diversity of bird species is dominated by the tenggeret takur Psilopogon australis in natural forests, the Honeybird Sriganti Cinnyris ornatus in pine forests and the Javan bondol Lonchura leucogastroides in community gardens. Community conservation efforts in preserving birds in the Tundagan Village Forest use a zoning strategy with the category of prohibited forests as the main forest and baladan forests, namely secondary forests that have a function in economic utilization.
