PERBANYAKAN FUNGI MIKORIZA ARBUSKULA (FMA) MENGGUNAKAN METODE TRAPPING DENGAN BERBAGAI MEDIA DAN TANAMAN INANG

Continuous use of chemical fertilizers over a long period of time can cause a decrease in soil fertility. This results in decreased land productivity. Mycorrhiza has the potential to be used as a solution to this problem. One of the areas that has a high abundance of spores is Mount Ciremai National Park (TNGC). To utilize this potential, propagation is carried out using organic media with the trapping method. This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The experimental factors used were zeolite carrier media, cocopeat, burnt rice husks, charcoal and sand as the first factor. sengon host plants (Albizia chinensis) and ruji beans (Pueraria javanica) as the second factor, while the parameters calculated were the number of spores from each treatment. The results of the analysis of the trapping results showed 3 types of spores, namely Glomus sp, Gigaspora sp and Acaulospora sp. Glomus type dominates in each planting medium. Analysis of variance showed that the host plant did not have a significant effect and the interaction between the carrier media and the host plant showed the same thing. Independently, the planting medium has a very real influence on the number of spores. The highest number of spores was in zeolite media 73/50 g, and the lowest was cocopeat 34/50 g and sand amounting to 45/50 g. The highest infection rate was 74% in the roots of the bean host plant and the lowest was 50% with the sengon host plant. The use of various media greatly influences the number of mycorrhizal populations.
